Clay Brown, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr Brown is passionate about Treatment and Recovery and has been a physician since 1987. He has been treating the disease of addiction since 2003. He was the Medical Director at the Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center for 13 years before joining The Orchard on The Brazos. He is certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine and Board Certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He served as Director of the Adolescent Treatment Program at PaRC and treated adult patients also.

Dr. Brown also completed residency training in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery, and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician for 12 years.

Dr. Brown helped in development of Detoxification Protocols and has assisted in the training of other Addiction Medicine professionals and focused on program development for addiction treatment.

He is an active member of the recovery community, has served on multiple advisory boards, and in other volunteer positions as well. Dr. Brown has a heart for service. He also has also served in a Public Health capacity as a County Local Health Authority for the past 14 years.
